The Start Smart Program created by the National Alliance for Youth Sports helps kids get ready for sports and succeed in life. It is an innovative step-by- step approach that builds confidence and self-esteem in a fun and safe sports environment. The program provides motor skill development skills that will help all children develop in sports. The third session of the year will cover the sport of baseball. The program will run for six weeks and will cover basic baseball skills, drills and positions for all beginners. There will be a mandatory parent/ child meeting on May 15, 2018 from 0900-1000 or 1400-1500 in the Youth Center Gym. PARENT PARTICIPATION IS MANDATORY for all who sign up for the Start Smart program. The Start Smart Program is great way to introduce sports by learning and having FUN.
Program Dates: May 15 - June 19
Tuesday: 9am - 10am or 2pm - 3pm
Registration: April 23 - May 11
Registration Process: YP Registration Form, if allergies are listed, a Navy EAP Form must be completed by a physician, NAYS Sports Registration Form, Copy of Child Passport or Birth Certificate, Copy of PAYS Certificate
Open to Active Duty, Reserve, Guard, DoD Civilians, Contractor Dependents ages 3-5 years old
