The Andersen Base Library is for everyone! It is a place where you can connect with others, find information, and gain hands-on experiences through our multi-faceted collection and programming. We support military education, promote information literacy, and foster self-enrichment, recreation, and leisure for all through our comprehensive services. Come by and check us out!
Computer services are provided to all authorized patrons, free of charge, and services are outlined below:

The library can provide an escape from your busy life. It is a place for all to discover new skills, hobbies, and enhance their learning. The library invites all authorized patrons to come discover something new at your library.
Borrowing Policy
Authorized patrons may borrow various items from the library up to 50 items per account.
Books: 3 weeks
Audiobooks: 3 weeks
DVDs & Blu-ray: 10 at a time – 3 weeks
New “Blockbuster” DVDs & Blu-ray: 5 at a time- 2 weeks
TV Series: 3 weeks
Video Games: 1 at a time – 2 weeks
Discovery Kits: 1 at a time- 3 weeks
Patrons are allowed two renewals per item except for New DVDs/Blu-ray, Video games and Discovery Kits (only one renewal), provided it is not on hold for another patron. Renewals may be made in person, by telephone, or by email for the first renewal, and second renewals the item must be brought in prior to the due date.
In compliance with our regulations, we cannot charge for overdue items. Patrons with overdue item(s) will not be able to check out any new materials until the overdue items have been returned or replaced if lost or damaged.
Lost or damaged materials must be reported and restitution made, or leadership will be notified.

Explore, build, create, and discover! Each month we dive into hands-on activities that blend Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Perfect for homeschoolers looking to sharpen critical thinking and spark innovation through real-world projects.
HOMESCHOOL MUSIC & MAKERS
Ages 4–17 with Caregivers
Get creative with rhythm, instruments, and imaginative crafts! This unique blend of music and maker projects invites homeschoolers to explore sound, movement, and hands-on fun.
CROCHET WITH CARE
Ages 18+
Relax, stitch, and connect! Whether you're a beginner or seasoned with a hook, this cozy meetup invites adults to learn and practice crocheting in a supportive, social setting. No purchase is necessary, just bring yourself. Please note: All items created go to military care facilities as well as local hospitals.
TEEN LIT CLUB
Ages 12–17
Love books? Let’s talk about them. Join fellow teens to read, react, and discuss great stories while building friendships and finding your next favorite book. Light snacks are provided.
STEAM AHEAD PROJECTS
Ages 5–17 with Caregivers
Fuel curiosity every week with hands-on science, technology, engineering, art, and math projects. Designed to support school learning while building future-ready skills in a fun, engaging way.
DIY SATURDAYS
All Ages
Bring the whole family and get crafty! The 2nd Saturday offers a new drop-in project—no experience needed. Just come ready to make, create, and have fun building things together.

SUMMER READING PROGRAM

Every summer the library is home to the Summer Reading Program. We provide prizes for all our readers and then additional prizes for the top readers. Along with our reading incentives, we have many programs in line with the Summer Reading Theme.
Digital Library
Along with having access to your brick and mortar MWR library branch, authorized users have access to the Department of Defense Digital Library (DODMWRLibraries.org). This resources provides access to digital e-books, downloadable audiobooks, digital magazines, educational databases, small business resources, and so much more.
